Thanksgiving is fast approaching people! Time to ready your tables and test out your recipes! Unfortunately for us, we have been doing a no sugar, no grain, no dairy, no soy, no legumes, cleanse for the past month so I have not been able to test any new recipes.
I’m counting on my cooking skills and ability to follow directions to help me prepare a succulent Thanksgiving feast!
And while I haven’t been eating any tasty treats this past month, it has left me plenty of time to try out some new table decor DIYs. Some of which are perfect for Thanksgiving! I’m going to give you two table decor DIYs this week, but today I’ll just show you one. DIY Nature Napkin Rings!
Our yard has an abundance of beautiful leafy bushes and greenery. I decided to clip some and see what I could come up with and I am so happy with how my creation turned out! Guys, these are simple. Like, make 4 of them in 10 minutes simple. And what’s great is your guests will think you were working for hours to make your table look good!
Another plus, these are cheap! You can buy a pack of 7 rings at Hobby Lobby for $3, floral tape is about $2.50 and the greenery is free if you have bushes in your backyard. You basically have no choice now but to make them.
• Bush trimmings
• Floral Tape
• 2″ Metal Rings
- Cut a 12in length of floral tape and begin wrapping it tightly around the metal ring. Make sure the entire surface of the ring is covered.
- Cut a small stem from your bush. You might want to pull off a few leaves at the bottom so you have a bare stem to wrap.
- Cut another length of floral tape, place the trimming and begin wrapping around the ring to secure in place.
- Repeat the process until you have wrapped as many stems as you wish.
How did your napkin rings turn out? I hope they make a lovely addition to your Thanksgiving table!
