Fall is a really special season for me. Every year when the leaves start to change my head is flooded with memories of childhood making! Once cooler temps forced me indoors, my mom would rally me around the kitchen table and with Martha Stewart Magazine as our inspiration we would make something, together. Although I can’t remember every single project we created, I do remember how wonderful it felt to spend time making crafts and memories with my mom. I am so thankful for these memories that give me warm fuzzies every time the cool air comes back to town!
Unfortunately though, for most of us our weeks are spent hustling, bustling, moving from one thing to the next without so much as a moment to catch our breath! Quality time is spent mostly in front of a screen, and our Pinterest boards are filled with things we’d like to do, if only we had the time. When will that be, I wonder? We’d like to live our life more engaged, but how?
What if I told you I can help?
Creating with our hands and making memories with friends is near and dear to my heart. So near and dear in fact that every year I set up DIY workshops to provide easy opportunities for friends and families to engage with one another while learning a new skill! Think of it like girls night, but less sugar and a lot more rewarding!
This weekend I’m offering my first Fall Workshop, a DIY Macrame Table Runner! This DIY has been re-pinned from my blog thousands of times and it’s the first time I’m teaching it live as a workshop. And I would love for YOU to be a part of it — especially if you have a friend, sister, co-worker, long lost cousin, you name it, that you’ve been wanting to spend more time with.
Sign ups are live right now, so call whoever has the other half of your BFF necklace, and let’s get making!
What if you can’t make it to the workshop you ask? Not a problem. Here are my original instructions for how to make this table runner. Have a girls night of your won and get making!
