Hey there friend! My name is Sallie, and the handsome hunk standing next to me is my husband Andrew (don’t get any ideas though, he’s taken!) and we live in Tulsa, Oklahoma with our puppy Lola and 5 backyard chickens! Andrew works full time at our church doing super creative things, and I am lucky enough to be a stay-at-home blogger/puppy mom/chicken mom/DIY-er!
I LOVE homemaking! It’s my bread and butter, the toast to my jam, and any other food related metaphor you can think of. My mom was a homemaker, and I have the most fond memories of spending time with her and making things. Making things has always mattered a lot to me, and using my hands to make my house awesome is a top priority! You can read more about why I love making here!
Last year, I got a huge opportunity to show the world why I love making when Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day named me their first ever Home Maker, and gave me $75,000 to make my homemaking dreams come true! Read about that whole experience here!
What did we do with that $75,000 you ask? Well, we put right back into homemaking and bought a 1960s ranch which we have converted into a dream home! We put 3 months of hard work into our house, but we love it! Read about our renovation here!
This blog holds all my homemaking adventures from cakes gone awry, to couch reupholstery projects and backyard chicken raising tips! I love sharing my love for homemaking with the world and I hope you’ll enjoy reading about it!
